*DAY CAMP COUNSELOR*
The City of Warrensburg is accepting applications for Part-time Day Camp (DC) Counselors for the Warrensburg Parks & Recreation Department.
Counselors will work directly with the campers each day, monitoring and supervising children, leading and actively participating in games/sports/activities, while using appropriate discipline techniques.
This position is responsible for helping to maintain a safe, clean summer program site; ensuring a high level of program quality; and working to establish a positive impact with all campers and their families.
The Counselor will provide a positive role model to campers within the philosophy of Warrensburg Parks & Recreation (WPR) standards and expectations with emphasis on character.
The DC Counselor must be a highly organized, service-oriented multi-tasker with high energy, self motivation, and enthusiasm.
The applicant must be 16 years or older and must pass a pre-employment background check (only applicable for applicants over 17 yrs old).
The candidate must also possess or agree to successfully complete CPR/First Aid Certification.
This is a part-time job with seasonal hours, with shifts ranging between 6:30am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday starting in May 2023.
Starting pay is $12.
30/hr.
This position answers directly to the Youth Programs Coordinator, Recreation Supervisor, and Unit Leader.
