I have antique 2 original photos -Motorcycle History / Americana of Kansas City
1947 and 1948 Gypsy Tour of Greater Kansas City - This was the AMA or American Motorycle Club
Both photos are amazing Americana, great collectible antique photos (not duplicates) and were purchased in Denver, CO from an estate.
These photos were both taken by a professional Kansas City Photo Studio, who were one of the main Studios if their time in Kansas City.
Studion stamp is on back of only one of the two photos, see in photos Anderson Studio Co.
The 1948 photo is of - I think it was called the Presidio of Kansas City that was later built over, this photo is in quite nice condition, but does show a little patina from it being 75 years old ish.
The expressions on the people's faces, the period correct motorcycles and clothing are a timecapsule into that quick flash if the
The second photo is 1947, and is a great photo of the GYpsy Tour that year to the World War I Museum, I love the closeup photo of just how small of a city Kansas City was back in 1947.
Also, great photos of 1940s Indian motorcycles, 1940s Harley Davidson and some British bikes in there too.
What a great looking group of people, love this photo and how it captured a brief second in time of motorcycling history.
Both photos are 100 percent original and there aren't any others available besides theses 2, and have been professionally framed.
I am keeping the pair together, as it would be a real shame to split them up after this many decades.
$2000.
00 for the pair.
Would look amazing on your wall in your Harley Davidson collection, or at a Harley Davidson dealership in Kansas City.
I live in Denver, CO.
