Overview:
KANSAS CITY, MO (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY)- Family is seeking a compassionate and energetic FULL-TIME, LIVE-OUT TEMP NANNY to care for their 2 boys ages 8 and 6 years old.
The older child is a high-functioning individual with ADHD and autism, described as a “border pusher,” requiring a nanny with autism experience.
The younger child has a pacemaker due to congenital heart disease, though no specific care is needed.
The family also notes a strawberry allergy to be aware of.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am- 4:30pm, with potential for overtime if needed.
Schedule is May 28- August 19, 2024.
The ideal candidate should be patient, have high energy, and possess experience with autism.
Responsibilities include engaging the children in outdoor activities to burn off energy, providing light tutoring for the 8-year-old, preparing meals (with an option for cooking if the nanny enjoys it), overseeing quiet time, free play and supervising tablet and playtime.
Activities outside of the home, such as visits to the neighborhood pool, are encouraged, but the schedule is flexible and unstructured.
Pay is $25-30/hr, gross via payroll.
The family prefers the nanny to be Covid-19 vaccinated and boosted! The family provides a family car or nanny can use their personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
There are no pets in the home, and this role does not require traveling with the family.
Qualifications:
BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study
CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)
Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position
A passion for working with children
Two+ years childcare experience
Excellent work and personal references

Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership
Fluent in English/Bilingual a plus
Competent swimmer
