Assistant Toddler Teacher

*Lead Teacher * 18 Months – 24 Months *General Description of the Job * Manages a classroom for a group of up to 10 toddlers, ages 18 months to 24 months old.
Executes a variety of activities that will ensure the health and safety of the group.
Reports to the Assistant Director or Director.
*Specific Duties of the Job * * *Plan *and *Write *appropriate lessons that align with the Appleridge curriculum standards * *Plans* and executes daily activities for ages 18 months – 24 months o Activities follow Appleridge Academy standards * *Regulate* mealtimes * *Follow *diapering guidelines * *Write* and *Talk* to parents everyday about child progress * *Give* guided classroom tours to new enrolling parents * *Clean* and *Organize* classroom everyday * *Write* a one page report on classroom progress once a month * *Communicate *and *Enforce* classroom structure to assistant teachers * *Work *collaboratively with Assistant Teachers * *Understand *KDHE and Appleridge Academy policies and guidelines *Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) * 1.
Knowledge of the growth Process of children, 18 months – 24 Months 2.
Knowledge of activities that stimulate toddlers 3.
Knowledge of safety issues surround toddlers 4.
