Calvary Lutheran currently has a need for teaching assistants in various age ranges from 6months - 5yrs.
We have part time and full time opportunities to accomodate a flexible scheduling environment.
*Position Overview*
* Assists in the implementing of lesson plans
* Supervises children
* Interacts and engages with children in structured and unstructured activities
* Maintains a clean and safe environment for the children to explore and learn
* Demonstrates excellent communication skills with children, parents and staff
* Must have the ability to work well with other staff members and classroom teachers
* Possess exemplary character traits which reflect the vision and purpose of the ministry whose focus is the care and education of children.
This includes but is not limited to a nurturing and caring attitude in both action and speech.
_Must be CPR/First Aid Certified.
We have a class available if not already certified_
*Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience*
* *Minimum of 1 year* experience in a similar role
* *Must* be 18 years old
* *Must* be able to lift up to 40lbs
* Strong knowledge of the subject matter being taught, particularly in Math and Physical Education.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
* Understanding of child welfare principles and the ability to create a safe and nurturing environment.
*Bonus *_*(Preferred)*_ *Knowledge, Skills, Experience*
* Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
* Valid teaching certification or license.
