Job Description:
Enjoy your summer days outside teaching children about nature, history, and outdoor skills! Our Outdoor Discovery Camps are licensed KDHE school-age programs run by our award-winning Outdoor Education Team of full-time Park Naturalists.
This position leads children ages 6-12 in outdoor and indoor activities including games, stories, crafts, swimming, creek exploration, field trips, kayaking & canoeing, archery, bb guns, hiking, nature and wildlife lessons, etc.
May perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Minimum age 18.
Teaching, outdoor skills, camp, and/or environmental education experience preferred.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Some college preferred.
Must be willing to obtain CPR & First Aid Certificate (training available).
Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass driving record check.
Must be able to work all day outdoors, May 28 – August 2, M-F hours vary 7 am-5:30 pm with approximately 40 hours per week.
Must attend a paid camp training held May 20 - 24.
JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.
