The Development Engineer will have a strong focus on application integrations, possess expertise in Python, C#, SQL, APIs, data movement, and have a keen interest in data analytics and reporting.
This role plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining seamless integrations between various systems, ensuring efficient data flow and supporting data-driven decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
Designs, develops, and implements robust integration solutions to connect different systems and applications; utilizes Python, C# and SQL to develop and optimize integration code and applications.
Creates and maintains scripts and applications to automate data movement and processing tasks.
; develops and maintains APIs for seamless communication between systems.
Ensures data consistency and integrity across integrated systems; troubleshoots and resolves data movement issues promptly.
Creates and maintains detailed technical documentation for integration processes, APIs, and scripts.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and business processes.
Develops & maintains small/self-contained web solutions.
Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of three years proven experience programming in Python, C#, PowerShell, JSON/XML and SQL is required.
Must also be proficient with modern development toolsets including Visual Studio, GitHub, SQL Server Management Studio, unit testing frameworks, and task tracking.
The successful candidate will also possess extensive experience working with APIs and integrating third-party systems.
Knowledge of data analytics tools and techniques and excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are a must.
Experience in data analytics & reporting, Cloud Technologies, automation and ESRI/GIS or Geospatial knowledge is preferred.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required.
An additional four years of experience in a development engineering role may be substituted for a degree.
Licenses & Certifications: A valid driver's license and favorable driving record are required.
Language: Proficiency with verbal and written English language required.
Environmental or Physical Demands: None
