Join T-Mobile's Corporate Intellectual Property Department in Overland Park, Kansas, as a paid summer intern for an exceptional opportunity in intellectual property and wireless technology.
As an intern, you'll play a pivotal role in assisting in T-Mobile's strategies to secure, protect, and license various forms of intellectual property.
This internship offers a unique chance to gain valuable experience in patent prosecution, contributing to our innovative approach in the industry.
What You’ll Do: Dive into legal research, compose written documents, and assist in drafting correspondence vital to the Intellectual Property Department's operations.
Partner with internal clients to assess projects and products, identifying potential legal risks and their impacts, contributing to strategic decision-making.
Engage with the Legal Affairs team on diverse research endeavors.
These projects cover a broad spectrum, spanning areas such as marketing practices, sales contracts, partnership agreements, intellectual property, human resources, and litigation.
Get hands-on experience in varied legal domains while contributing to real-world projects.
What It Takes: Currently enrolled as first-year law (1L) student and pursuing Juris Doctorate (JD) degree Excellent research and writing skills.
Proven verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and innovative work environment.
Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills.
Interest and skills for learning about the law and wireless technology.
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong solid understanding of PC and Microsoft Office applications.
Minimum Qualifications: At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position.
Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.
Relocation reimbursement may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.
Intern wages range from $20/hr to $40/hour.
The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on experience/location.
Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for internships .
