Pappas Hayden Westberg & Jackson PC, a creditor’s rights and civil litigation law firm based in Overland Park, KS, is seeking an attorney licensed in Kansas.
The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of litigation experience.
*Expectations of this position include:*
* Ability to draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents as necessary
* Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume role (including keeping up with email and voicemail)
* Ability to work closely with support staff and other attorneys to maximize efficiency
* Ability to communicate with clients, opposing attorneys and pro se litigants in a professional and respectful manner
* Ability to exercise independent judgment related to case progress and resolution;
* Ability to make weekly court appearances (including traveling) for dockets, motion hearings and trial
* Performing all other duties and projects assigned by partners
The position requires office hours of *8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday*.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
