JOB SUMMARY
Kutak Rock LLP is seeking a 2024 summer associate to work within the firm’s Insurance and Health Care Litigation Practice Group in Kansas City.
Litigation summer associates should expect to work with the firm’s insurance coverage and medical malpractice defense attorneys.
The Insurance and Health Care Litigation Practice Group predominantly represents either insurance companies or health care providers.
Although litigation summer associates can anticipate receiving a variety of litigation matters, insurance-specific matters may include researching and analyzing whether insurance policies provide coverage for various types of claims, assisting with defending insurance companies against claims arising from policy and claims decisions, and assisting with insurance regulatory matters.
Health care-related matters may include research and drafting projects as part of the defense of medical malpractice claims, assisting with guardianships and conservatorships, and assisting with healthcare compliance-related matters.
