FORVIS' National Tax Professional Standards Group (PSG) is growing and needs more professionals! We are currently looking to add a Tax Compliance Product Manager to join our growing Tax Technology and Tax Operations teams.
The successful candidate will have a passion for problem solving, process development, and process improvement relating to FORVIS' use of tax compliance software.
This role will work with other FORVIS tax professionals, internal Firm Technology Services personnel, software vendor employees, and tax professionals at other firms.
How you will contribute: Product Vision and Strategy: Develop a deep understanding of our firm's tax compliance software needs and the broader industry landscape.
Define and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for our tax compliance software, aligning them with our firm's objectives and clients' requirements.
Represent FORVIS by attending advisory panels, advocating for FORVIS enhancement priorities, and coordinating FORVIS participation in subject matter committees.
Work with the Tax Technology and Tax Operations team to prioritize product enhancements, including but not limited to developing a short and long-term enhancement roadmap and integrating new technologies.
Product Planning and Roadmap: Collaborate with stakeholders, including tax professionals, IT teams, and clients, to gather and prioritize feature requests and enhancement opportunities.
Translate requirements into a comprehensive product roadmap, considering timelines, dependencies, and resource allocation.
Product Development and Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, designers, and quality assurance, to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.
Define and document product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Conduct regular product reviews, monitor project progress, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
User Experience and Usability: Advocate for exceptional user experience by understanding end-users' needs and pain points.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive interfaces and workflows that optimize the efficiency and usability of the tax compliance platforms.
Training and Support: Develop training materials and conduct sessions to educate our tax professionals and clients on how to effectively use our tax software.
Manage Internal and external support programs, including champions programs.
Product Performance and Analysis: Track and analyze key performance metrics, user feedback, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and inform future product iterations.
Stay updated on tax regulations, compliance requirements, and industry advancements to ensure FORVIS tax compliance systems remain up-to-date and competitive.
We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and: Excellent listening and problem-solving skills, ability to translate GoSystem Tax RS user needs into workable solutions.
Proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Passionate about troubleshooting, product and process enhancement, and providing service and support to FORVIS tax team members.
Ability to travel minimally, up to 25% at times.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent team building and time management skills.
Ability to work as an effective member of a team.
Experience managing multiple projects or engagements.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or a related field.
A CPA qualification is a plus.
Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, preferably within the tax technology domain.
In-depth knowledge of tax compliance processes, regulations, and accounting principles.
Proficiency in tax software systems, particularly GoSystem or other similar tax software solutions.
Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
