Responsibilities and practice
Dentons US LLP is seeking a staff associate with excellent academic credentials and 1-3 years of legal experience to join our sophisticated, multifaceted and highly-regarded Real Estate practice.
The staff associate hired for this position will work collaboratively with dedicated partners and associates on a variety of complex transactional matters, and will assume such responsibilities as:
Contributing to the coordination and execution of a broad range of complex transactional matters such as real estate financing, commercial real estate development, acquisitions, and sales, asset-based lending, tax credit transactions and commercial leasing
Assisting in the preparation of real estate loan, purchase, sale, loan servicing and ancillary related documents, including purchase and sale agreements, conveyance documents, easements, security instruments, notes, guaranties and general agreements
Preparing for and supporting closings, including obtaining required documents, preparing documents to be executed and confirming contents of appropriate closing checklists
Performing due diligence and conducting routine fact or legal research
Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements, billable and performance based, of the position

Personal skills/attributes
Possesses outstanding oral and written communication skills
Has strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent analytical and organizational skills
Is comfortable managing multiple workloads and can prioritize work effectively
Embraces teamwork and values collaboration
Technical skills
1-3 years of commercial real estate transactional experience is required
Previous law firm experience is required
Other requirements
Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and be in good standing
Must include a law school transcript with application
