All positions require that the applicant be a resident of Wyandotte county or willing to relocate within (12) months from the date of hire.
As a condition of employment all employees must pass a post offer physical examination and drug screen.
And submit proof of identity and employment eligibility.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The incumbent is responsible for assisting prosecuting attorneys with all cases handled by the District Attorney’s Office.
The Investigator will handle a variety of task including but not limited to financial investigations; consumer protection; arrange pre-trial conferences; assist with exhibits; run computer checks; serve process/subpoenas on witnesses; locate witnesses; and complete case-specific assignments.
The Investigator may also take statements, document criminal and civil cases or otherwise investigate cases for the District Attorney.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field and two years of experience as an investigator; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Applicants must be current Kansas certified law enforcement (KS CPOST) in good standing or eligible for immediate recertification and maintain certification while employed.
As a condition of employment, the candidate must pass a pre-employment physical, background check and drug screen, psychological test(s), CVSA or polygraph and interview.
Salary Range: $23.
44-$31.
37/hr.
