The General Manager is responsible for managing all operations, sales, profitability and staffing.
This position will also be responsible for the oversight and resolution of client and driver complaints and issues.
Responsible for developing and implementing procedures which are consistent with company standards.
Ensures drivers are meeting performance expectations, company profitability, and client satisfaction.
Manages the day-to-day operations at assigned location.
Job Responsibilities
Implements changes, improvements and follows up on the accounts to ensure that we are meeting their requests and expectations in the required timeframe
Manages and monitors driver couriers by reviewing all routing to ensure the clients’ needs are being met timely and according to client and company policies and procedure
Oversees the Company fleet program
Ensures client issues are being resolved in a timely manner and maintain a professional business relationship.
Communicates all client matters directly to Head of West Coast Operations involving route optimization, protocols, company policies etc
Builds and maintains a positive work environment where team members and their contributions are recognized and valued.
Maintain frequent communication with all team members
Oversees driver schedules and ensures that we maintain proper coverage
Manages the Time Off Request
Reviews courier timecards on a daily and weekly basis to ensure there are no discrepancies
Optimizes the routes and timing of the drivers in order to drive down and maintain the cost
Analyzes and provide alternative solutions to optimize routes in California with all accounts, thus reducing the overall cost to perform the job functions
Analyzes the daily reports on all accounts to help lower OT and maintain realistic hours for the drivers.
Help to identify any hours or mileage that appear to be in error if any

Recruits, interviews, hires, coaches, counsels and disciplines employees when necessary
Handles termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
Creates and requests bar codes if necessary
Ensures that all couriers are location scanning at a high level and monitors the overall daily/monthly on time performance (OTP) of routes, stats and will calls
In very rare occasions may cover runs if no other drivers/vehicles are available
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong Supervisory and leadership skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional evenings, weekends and holidays
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations
Has knowledge of locating customer locations utilizing a GPS
Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrates strong work ethic, integrity, and a high level of attention to details
Must possess valid Driver’s License
Reliable transportation and good driving record are a requirement
This is a high energy, multifaceted position requiring personal initiative and flexibility
Physical Standard:
Must be able to walk, bend, reach, and lift, if necessary 25 pounds or more.
