The Beverage Manager is responsible for working alongside the General Manager Nighthawk directing and organizing the activities of our nightclub/lounge to maintain the highest standards of food and beverage quality, service, and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.
*Essential Responsibilities Include but are not limited to working alongside the Bar/Lounge General Manager to:* · Plan, direct, assign and delegate responsibility and authority for all functions of administration and planning of The Town Company restaurant to meet the daily needs of the operation · Exceptional organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Critical thinker, team player, time-management · Manage first floor beverage program.
Develop cocktail menus, recipes, menu costs · Standardize bartender training at each outlet, develop set-up guides for each outlet.
Document these for training purposes · Process payroll and maintain all relevant records · Monthly inventory, menu updates, cooler and liquor room organization, staff training, menu education · Ensure all employees are working within outlined operating standards · Report on financial performance, inventory, and personnel · Maximize department profitability; implement effective controls of beverage, and labor costs and monitor the restaurants’ budget to ensure efficient operations, including achieving budgeted revenue and labor expenses · Monitor, develop and implement schedules for the operation of Town Company to achieve a profitable result · Hire, train, supervise, develop and evaluate restaurant colleagues according to Hotel Kansas City’s policies and procedures · Consistently train associates on newest product and service knowledge · Regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer satisfaction of The Town Company restaurant; recommend new marketing and/or operational policies and procedures when necessary to keep up with demand and market changes; investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints · Consistently come up with product and service improvements as well as ways to generate new business · Demonstrate high degree of drive and initiative · Ensure a safe working environment for all associates · Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity · Adhere to and enforce employee compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards · Process payroll and maintain all relevant records · Monthly inventory, menu updates, cooler and liquor room organization, staff training, menu education · Ensure all employees are working within outlined operating standards · Report on financial performance, inventory, and personnel · Maintain a good working relationship with other associates by fostering a harmonious work environment · Communicate with other departments to ensure a supporting team of professionals · Support additional food and beverage outlets including the Lobby Bar and Lobby Market · Other tasks/duties as assigned by Food & Beverage Director or General Manager *About the Hotel & Outlet* Setting the standard for grand hospitality, Hotel Kansas City has delivered an experience like no other since its opening in late 2020.
