*Job Title:* Chief Operations Officer - Nonprofit *Organization:* Inclusion Connections/PawsAbilities *Location:* Olathe, KS *About Us:* _The mission of Inclusion Connections is to strengthen the lives of individuals with disabilities by creating inclusive opportunities for community involvement, access to meaningful employment, and better options for supported living.
_ Inclusion Connections 501c3 nonprofit was born out of a need for services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
While there is certainly a need for educational and social opportunities for school-aged children, the greatest need presents itself when kids graduate high school.
Parents often say their kids with disabilities graduated from high school to the couch! On graduation day, the students lose access to learning, exercise, friends, and community.
Most graduate without a job and a critical lack of supported housing forces students to remain at home with their parents indefinitely.
Inclusion Connections is addressing all these issues head-on.
Our programs are innovative and designed for individuals with special needs and include the following: · Inclusion Connections—our flagship program which provides our special needs students with life skills, education, and opportunities for employment including job placement and transportation.
· PawsAbilities—our in-house job training program in which students make, market, and sell pet treats and toys.
This includes a bakery, retail store, offsite sales, and wholesale customer accounts.
· Belong KC—our supported living campus.
The organization is in the process of fundraising in order to construct a campus on which our students will live with appropriate support.
*Position Overview:* We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial/Operating Officer to execute the strategic direction of the organization, develop, and oversee financial goals, and expand the PawsAbilities program’s reach and capacity.
*Key Responsibilities:* 1.
*Strategic Planning:*Collaborate with the Executive Director and other leadership team members in the development and execution of the organization's strategic plan.
2.
*Business Operations:*Manage the operations of PawsAbilites including production, inventory management, sales, customer service, and financial performance.
3.
*Financial Management:*Develop and manage budgets for all aspects of the organization.
4.
*Human Resources:*Oversee human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, professional development, and employee relations.
5.
*Partnerships and Collaborations:* Identify and cultivate partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations that benefit both the nonprofit and business aspects of the organization.
6.
*Marketing and Promotion:* Develop marketing and promotion strategies to increase PawsAbilities visibility and success.
7.
*Fundraising:*Work closely with the fundraising team to identify opportunities to secure funding, grants, and donations.
8.
*Community and Corporate Engagement:* Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, community and corporate partners, and other organizations to enhance the organization's visibility and impact.
9.
*Reporting and Evaluation:* Provide regular reports to the Executive Director and as needed to the Board of Directors on the performance of both the nonprofit and business components, including financial, operational, and impact metrics.
10.
*Information Technology*: Collaborate with Development Teams to integrate IT solutions and evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance organizational efficiency.
11.
*Other Duties as Assigned: *Assess organizational needs as they arise and implement solutions.
*Qualifications:* · Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Nonprofit Management.
· Proven experience in management and business operations.
· Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and partnerships.
· A strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to changing environments and innovate.
