What would I be doing?: Located just East of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone.
Ameristar has one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, amazing dining venues, a newly renovated luxury hotel, on-site childcare and more.
Ameristar also offers convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660 space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center.
Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City is accepting applications for an upcoming BLACKJACK DEALER SCHOOL! This a great opportunity to work in the exciting gaming industry as a Dealer.
We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package.
On average Dealers make between $22.
00/hr to $25.
00/hr (Base pay + Tokes).
Classes begin Monday April 26, 2021 and run through Friday, May 7, 2021 and classes are FREE to all accepted students.
Classes will be held Monday through Friday and students may choose to attend class from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm or 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
100% attendance required! Successful completion of Dealer School qualifies you for an audition for a Dealer position at Ameristar Casino and Hotel.
After a successful audition, students may apply for any open, full-time or part-time Dealer positions, for which you are qualified.
Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Must clear background check, drug screen and Missouri Gaming Commission licensing requirements.
Responsibilities: RESPONSIBILITIES Knowledge in all aspects of Black Jack Create an atmosphere of hospitality and friendliness toward guests.
Make eye contact and greet the guest by first name, if known, upon arriving to the table and thank the guest for playing when they leave the table.
Compliance of company and departmental policies and procedures, Missouri Gaming Regulations and Internal controls.
Ensure good game protection.
Ensure good game pace for all players.
Ensure payouts to be made quickly and accurately.
Fill and credit tables by verification of cheques.
Opening and closing tables by verification of all cheque inventory.
What are we looking for?: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers alike.
Excellent team member and customer relations skills.
Outstanding math skills.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, flexibility in scheduling is required.
Able to work in a fast paced 24/7 casino environment.
Completion of Ameristar Casino Kansas City Dealers School or one (1) year experience as a dealer.
