Together, we won’t stop! The Senior Technology Risk Solutions Manager is an individual contributor role within Technology Risk Management (TRM) team.
This role will be responsible for providing 2nd Line technology risk and compliance governance and advisory support to T-Mobile’s IT and Business 1st Line teams.
We are seeking an experienced individual to mature T-Mobile's Technology Risk Management Program including development of risk management frameworks and standards, risk governance and risk assessments for enterprise initiatives and ongoing monitoring and reporting.
This includes evaluating SOX and Operational IT risks for T-Mobile's products to facilitate the design and implementation of technical IT controls (including IT General Controls and IT automated controls).
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Finance, and Audit, to establish enterprise-wide risk frameworks, assess risks, develop effective control solutions, and facilitate remediation of control gaps.
Job Responsibilities: Risk Strategy and Assessment Develop and maintain comprehensive technology risk and control governance frameworks and standards, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Mature the risk and control governance and monitoring program to proactively identify and mitigate critical risks Evaluate SOX and operational IT risks within complex IT and Business processes.
Partner with IT and Business leaders to facilitate design of IT General Controls (ITGCs) and IT automated controls to address critical risks.
Facilitate remediation of issues and control gaps in systems and processes and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
Manage the execution of control development, design and testing activities, including coordination with internal and external auditors for new technologies.
Evaluate SOC1/SOC 2 reports for Third-party Applications and Platforms and aid in the design and implementation of Complementary User Entity Controls (CUEC).
Partners with the business and technical teams to evaluate risk management strategy, prioritization, approach.
Prepares risk assessment presentations for business and org leadership review.
Serves as a SME for risk management for T-Mobile’s products and platforms.
Project Management Train IT and Business teams on the enterprise risk framework and standards Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and emerging technologies and provide guidance on their impact on the IT control environment.
Facilitates inception activities, including breakdown of business and technology risk requirements and technical scope definition.
Partners with Senior level resources to define technology risk strategy approach for business process initiatives and to provide recommendations on scope delivery planning.
Supports the delivery of technology risk solutions within business processes by providing leadership in analysis, design, and project and product management.
Supports issue triage on escalation resolution for issues.
Relationship and People Management Work closely with IT and Business teams to assess and monitor the effectiveness of IT controls and recommend enhancements.
Collaborate with IT development teams to ensure that IT controls are integrated into system development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
Provide training and coaching to junior team members and aid them in the technology risk assessment process.
Performs day-to-day management of business, IT, and Audit stakeholder relationships on large and complex cross domain initiatives.
Identifies, analyzes, and synthesizes information, applying critical thought to present the information in a clear and meaningful way.
Partners across multiple IT teams, and Business to ensure clarity on assessment impacts in alignment with scope of project or initiative.
Identifies improvements, makes critical decisions, and works with subject matter experts throughout the organization to implement solutions.
Multi-tasks while managing risk assessment efforts for end-to-end for core systems, in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Accounting, Auditing or a related field (Required) Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.
g.
, CISA, CISSP) are a plus.
Work Experience: Proven 7-10 years related working experience in IT governance, risk and compliance and technical program management with a specific focus on SOX and Operational risk management.
(Required) Proficiency in assessing IT SOX and operational risks and implementing effective control solutions.
Deep understanding of IT SOX and Operational risk and governance programs (e.
g.
, PCI, USGCI, CMMC) including design and maintenance of best practice frameworks and standards.
Ongoing risk monitoring and reporting Experience using and/or designing Governance, Risk and Compliance systems (e.
g.
, Archer and ServiceNow).
Experience assessing compliance with agile SDLC methodologies.
Superb communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multi-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Deep knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGCs) and IT automated controls, and their application in financial reporting and operational processes.
Understanding of how applications, Operating systems, Databases work to assess IT General controls in Logical Access, Change Management and Computer Operations.
Understanding of Cloud Technologies and associated risks and controls.
Superb communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multi-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Knowledge of industry frameworks and standards, such as COBIT and ISO 27001, is highly desirable.
Prior experience in ERP, Cloud, or DevOps tools (preferred).
Analytics (Required) Communicates technical and functional risk management solutions effectively and efficiently.
(Required) Ability to separate what is meaningful from what is urgent and find the best path forward from among multiple scenarios.
(Required) Problem Solving Sound problem-solver who can quickly process sophisticated information and present it clearly and simply to a diverse audience.
(Required) • At least 18 years of age • Legally authorized to work in the United States Washington Pay Range: $148,700.
00 - 201,200 The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed.
The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such aswork location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role.
Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
