*Job Overview:* *Job:* Shift Supervisor/Barista *Job Type:* Non-Exempt Role working various hours/days *Reports To:* Café Manager We are looking for a *Shift Supervisor/Barista* to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea.
Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drink, food, & pastry menus, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders.
To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.
You should also be able to work various shifts.
Ultimately, you’ll ensure that all our guests have a legendary customer experience.
A note on the pay range: Starting pay for baristas is $13 plus tips that range from $10-12 an hour.

*Shift Supervisor Top 5* * Hold yourself and your entire team accountable to the *Barista Top 5.
* * Take ownership of the FOH and BOH by ensuring we keep the Café clean and organized by using our *daily checklists and adhering to administrative processes.
*(invoices, WSR, EOD paperwork, ordering, inventory) * Ensure the quality of all food and beverages through partnering with coffee leads to ensure *great training and consistent coaching.
* * Achieve consistent speed of service by leading and coaching our *deployment principles*.
* Create a positive team culture by connecting with others, identifying problems & solutions and aligning with management team through *regular manager meetings.

*Preferred Education/Experience:* * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
* Prior café or coffee shop experience a plus.
* Familiarity with telephone, office, and point-of-sale software.
* Food handlers’ card and liquor license (when applicable).
* Current driver’s license (when applicable).
