Shawnee PARC a beautiful skilled nursing facility located in Overland Park is looking for a Maintenance Director! The Maintenance Director will plan, organize, implement, evaluate, develop, and direct the Maintenance Department Operations.
The Maintenance Director will work with facility departments to adhere to all current, federal, state and local standards and may directed by the Administrator to ensure the facility is safe.
The Maintenance Director is a key member of the interdisciplinary team and works directly with residents and their families, excellent communication skills and customer service capabilities are required.
Maintenance Director Duties/Responsibilities:
* Accountable for the Housekeeping Department, 5+ employees.
* Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments.
Make written or oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator as necessary/required concerning the operation of the Maintenance Department.
* Supervise all repairs, construction, renovation, and remodeling and routine maintenance of the building and all department equipment
* Repair facility/resident property as necessary.
* Place orders for equipment and supplies as necessary or as may be required.
* Make daily rounds to assure that personnel are performing required duties and to assure that appropriate procedures are being rendered to meet the needs of the facility.
* Make weekly inspections of all maintenance functions to assure that quality control measures are continually maintained.
* Be sure that appropriate medical waste is disposed of in accordance with our facility’s established procedures.
* Monitor maintenance procedures to ensure that supplies are used in an efficient manner.
* Ensure that maintenance policies and procedures identify appropriate safety precautions and equipment to use when performing tasks.
* Ensure correct/complete invoices are reviewed and properly coded and forwarded to business office for payment in a timely manner.
* Be available to troubleshoot emergencies and urgent repairs.
* Perform other related duties as directed by the Administrator.
Maintenance Director Qualifications/Requirements
* A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
* A valid Kansas Driver’s License.
* 3+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a Long-Term Care or other health care facility preferred.
* Basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, painting and HVAC.
* Be able to lift, push, stoop, crawl, squat, kneel, go up and down stairs, and move equipment, supplies, linens, etc.

* Must have strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting abilities.
* Be personable and professional with residents, families, and staff.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.
00 - $70,000.
