Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule Full-time position available with the Public Works Department, District 1 Division located at 2400 NE Russell Rd Salary Range: $24.
77-$37.
16/hour Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.

Application Deadline Date: February 12, 2024 Qualifications REQUIRES high school graduation and 3 years experience of a progressively responsible nature in construction or maintenance work including 1 year leading the work of general laboring or maintenance crews.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.
Qualifications Supervises the cleaning of streets, catch basins, and alleys in a designated area or district.
Supervises snow removal activities during the winter.
Supervises the use and operation of several pieces of heavy equipment used in the maintenance of rock-surfaced roads, grading and ditching of dirt streets, and other related activities.
Makes assignments and supervises the work of several hot mix asphalt crews in the maintenance of city streets and boulevards.
Assists in supervising the construction of culverts and walls.
Submits budget requests.
Manages the maintenance and care of all division equipment and material.
Performs related work as required.

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions.
Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
