, has an opening for a Site Safety Supervisor at Ford KCAP.
This position works closely with onsite operations leadership for the shared goal of delivering quality services safely.
This person will provide hands on identification and control of hazardous workplace conditions, as well as:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and maintain the site-specific health and safety plan and its components.
Ensure delivery of company health and safety training to all new hire personnel, and recurrent training for existing personnel.
Validate employee training, knowledge, skills, and competence in the field by conducting Safety Observation Tours.
Develop and deliver specific training to affected personnel, as job requires.
Mentor and enforce employees on the job in safety requirements including regulations, customer requirements, company policies, procedures, and protocols.
Prepare, amend, and maintain pre-task safety plans and task instruction sheets.
Conduct various site safety briefings and meetings.
Conduct various audits: Safety Observation Tours, equipment inspections, and compliance to site-specific health and safety plan, pre-task safety plans and task instruction sheets.
Conduct respirator fit testing as needed.
Prepare incident reports and conduct proper investigations, including, safety stand down meetings, final incident investigation reports and corrective actions.
Assist in the assessment and procurement of safety supplies, equipment, small tools, and services needed to ensure ample supplies are available and in good working condition (ex.
air monitors, fall protection and retrieval equipment, supplied air systems, patient packaging equipment, lock-out/tag-out equipment, etc.
)
Participate in operational planning meetings and jobsite walk-throughs as appropriate.
Qualify or train employees on powered industrial equipment, such as fork trucks, burden carriers, ride-on scrubbers, industrial carts, etc.
Ensure employees are current with medical monitoring and training requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
High School diploma or GED (some college preferred)
Industry-specific training certificates (ex.
OSHA 10/30-Hour, COSS, ASP/CSP, CHMM, HAZWOPER, Confined Space Rescue, First Aid/CPR, etc.
)
Proficient in Microsoft: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook
Union experience preferred but not required.
