Job Summary
This position is primarily responsible for coordinating and controlling the activities of teammates engaged in Assembly operations by performing the following duties.
Core Responsibilities
Oversees the duties of the Assembly area, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Update daily and hourly metrics to ensure production is on-track with the goals.
Ensure standard work is being followed through all process in Assembly
Correctly documents overages, shortages, and/or damages of picked items.
Responsible for training new teammates in Assembly operations
Verify proper housekeeping and gowning processes are adhered to and cleaning log is filled out daily.
Provides guidance and direction for efficient workflow
Observes technical performance of the Assembly teammates and provides on the spot coaching.
Provides input on Assembly requirements needed to determine the total labor for customer’s orders.
Confers with supervisor and other leads to coordinate operation within and between shifts
Works with the operations manager and/or supervisor to ensure schedule is being followed and communicates any discrepancies or delays.
Develops a process plan including people, resources, equipment, and floor space for each customer order.
Assists other leads/operations management as needed.
Drive operational improvements and efficiencies to streamline Assembly processes
Plans flow of material through department according to daily schedule.
In coordination with the operations manager and/or supervisor, establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, including map changes and discrepancies in documentation
Recommends measures to improve efficiency, production methods, and quality of product.
Participate in daily Tiered Accountability team to Identify problems and develop solutions to continually improve operational safety, quality, delivery and cost measurements.
Qualifying Experience
1 year leadership experience
High School or GED equivalent required
Basic computer skills
