Job Description
Serves as a clinical supervisor at University Health (UH TMC or LWMC) for masters-level, bachelors-level social workers and social work graduate students assigned to Social Work Services.
Oversees the delivery of high-quality inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department social work services to patients and families across medical/surgical and maternal child health settings as assigned.
Provides direct social work services to patients experiencing acute, chronic and terminal illnesses.
Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary hospital team for patient care.
Works independently, requesting consultation on an as-needed basis.
Reports to the System Director Social Work and Care Coordination.
Master’s degree in social work from a graduate program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and minimum of two years of post-graduate social work experience in a healthcare setting.
Two years of previous supervisory and/or management experience preferable.
Graduate field instruction experience in social work desirable.
Missouri-licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) or eligible for licensure upon hiring.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to perform public speaking.
Strong skills in data management and report generation.
