Job Description: Technician Skill Development: Develop and maintain technician skills matrix Coordinate with Regional Leaders and SMEs to maintain direct labor job descriptions and accurate level descriptions Create training curriculums for level advancement Participate in recurring reviews of levels compared to compensation structure Meet quarterly with regional leaders to review skills matrix and discuss/set level up opportunities/targets Calibrate across segment to evaluate technicians and ensure technicians identified for level advancement demonstrate all necessary skills Technician Training: Maintain training classes portfolio (OTCU and custom) & participation tracking Identify training gaps and find classes and instructors to address gaps Create and maintain schedule for classes Communicate class offerings and confirmations, including trainers/instructors as well as supervisors to ensure a balance of training and S/R productivity Coordinate instruction methods (in person (OTC and/or external) and virtual (Teams, OTCU, other on-line)) and event logistics Instruct on non-technical classes and assist with technical class training in line with skill/experience Manage training materials Manage training budget Solicit feedback from class participants on curriculum / trainer effectiveness to continuously improve offerings The Successful Candidate Will Possess: Proven experience in Project and/or Business Management Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills Rotating Equipment (specifically Pumps, motors and power transmission) design, use and repair knowledge Training/teaching presentation skills Cross-functional collaboration skills Ability to balance initiative priorities Comfortable working both autonomously and in groups of various sizes Results orientation and high self-accountability A sincere interest in helping others advance their skills and career opportunities Education and Experience: BS or AS education preferred Formal or OJT Rotating Equipment use, maintenance, or repair training preferred Formal or OJT (minimum of 5 yrs experience) Microsoft Office 365 and other business programs training Public speaking/presentation training or experience preferred At OTC Industrial Technologies, we believe that our employees are our greatest strength.
