Summer School Lead Youth Worker

Pay: $17.
50 hr Seasonal Summary: The Lead Youth Worker includes assessing young people's needs, connecting them with resources, and fostering a positive team environment.
Additionally, the Lead Youth Worker supports classroom presentations, participating in planned activities/projects, conflict resolution, maintaining confidentiality, and demonstrating organizational skills.
Essential duties and responsibilities: Planning and implementing weekly activities that complement weekly academic lessons and have them approved by the site coordinator during orientation.

Assessing the needs of young people and getting them connected with appropriate resources.
Possess the ability to work in a positive team setting.
Remain on task at all times to ensure the safety of participants and other staff.
Accompany and supervise participants on weekly planned field trips.
Maintain facilities and report any issues/problems/defects on time to the SEP Site Coordinator.
Use provided daily/weekly employee forms (attendance, incident, classroom checklists, lesson plan, supply request, etc.
) and fill them out completely and accurately.
Effectively interact and support the school community.
Assist in classroom presentation for World Fair.
Engage in all planned activities/projects.
Lead by example.
Solve conflicts, maintain confidentiality, and remain open to various ideas and viewpoints.
Attend orientation and training(s).
Demonstrate organizational ability and attention to detail.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

This role continually uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
