Summary Responsible for the day-to-day operations of State Field Operations.
Provide leadership and overall guidance/direction to ensure that field operations personnel are functioning productively, efficiently, and in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures, and strategic objectives.
Provide guidance, insight, support and supervision to State Field Operations leadership team.
Duties and Responsibilities Direct and monitor compliance with applicable local, state, and federal environmental, design and/or operating codes and regulations for all-natural gas transmission and distribution pipeline facilities or hazardous liquid pipeline facilities Direct and oversee compliance of mandated gas facility replacements and maintenance programs Create and maintain annual business plan, budget, initiatives and monthly scorecards and progress reports for the department Prepare, and/or review and approve performance plans and appraisals of all subordinate managers Direct and coordinate the safety functions within Field Operations Standards Evaluate new employee hiring Provide support to other areas and departments as necessary Coordinate response to emergencies with other areas and departments and review any resultant incident reports for submittal All other duties as assigned Essential Characteristics and Competencies Ability to demonstrate the core and job category competencies: customer-focused, results-driven, teamwork, communications, adaptability, initiative, problem solving and quality Ability to lead by example in support of the company’s essential characteristics and values: strong ethics and integrity, dedication to a safe work environment, commitment to a diverse workforce that recognizes and respects every individual’s unique skills and perspectives Supervisory Responsibilities Provide direct and/or indirect supervision to a team of approximately 200 employees Required Education (certifications, licenses) Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
Required knowledge, skill and abilities 10+ years of experience working in the natural gas industry 3+ years of experience in project management experience preferred 5+ years of experience in supervisory and personnel management within operational and technical work groups 5+ years of experience dealing with Company procedures, as well as associated codes, rules, and regulations in the natural gas and propane business 3+ years of experience with the Company’s business planning process 3+ years of experience performing economic analysis of proposed projects 3+ years of experience developing, interpreting, and analyzing various contracts 2+ years of experience using the Microsoft Office suite of software or equivalent Physical demands, environment and schedule Typically, 8:00 a.
