GBA’s LiDAR Group is currently seeking a project manager to help with the growth, and further expansion of the group.
The right candidate will have five or more years of experience within the land survey field, including knowledge of 3D scanning including Mobile LiDAR, Aerial LiDAR, and Terrestrial LiDAR.
They should also be experienced in processing point cloud data to produce topographic surveys utilizing the latest point cloud software.
The type of jobs we work on range from DOT jobs, municipality corridor design base maps, topography for storm and sanitary design, energy corridor surveys, streetscape design, and many more.
We offer a variety of work and learning experiences from project to project.
The LiDAR Project Manager position will primarily be keeping the projects moving in the right direction, helping ensure that project schedules and budgets are being met, helping troubleshoot any issues that may arise, helping with the collection of scan data, and overseeing the processing of the collected scan data and the extracting of topographic line work.
They will also be helping with quality control, ensuring that the projects are done correctly and in a timely fashion.

Troubleshooting issues
Help with training new employees
Ensure projects are being done correctly and in a timely manner

Requirements
Detail-oriented
5 plus years of experience working with Land Surveying, 3D scanning, point cloud data, and managing LiDAR projects
Communicate effectively with internal staff to gather all information needed for processing the LiDAR data
Proficiency in MicroStation, Connect Edition is a plus
Experience in TopoDOT is a plus
Able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
Able to work well in a team environment
Survey field experience is a plus
