Job Summary The Director of IT will be responsible for hiring and managing the IT infrastructure staff, operating an internal helpdesk, eliminating cyber and network security risks, and other support functions such as asset management, licensing, and 3rd party vendor management.
This position will report to the Chief Information Officer.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead and direct the planning, development, implementation, security, and management of the infrastructure technology.
Supervise IT Infrastructure systems and staff as well as manage external vendor relationships.
Consult senior-level stakeholders and IT peers across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs to optimize the use of information technologies.
Play a key role in the development and implementation of sound policies and procedures to ensure quality and security.
Project manage infrastructure projects to ensure participation by affected stakeholders, risks are identified and communicated, and projects are completed on-time and within the assigned budgets.
Assist the CIO with corporate and strategic planning.
This involves keeping abreast of new technologies by planning and coordinating the research, analysis, evaluation and possible implementation of new technologies that support the corporate goals and objectives.
Participate in the preparation of department budget and closely monitor the infrastructure portion of the budget.
Implement and continue to enhance Disaster Recovery and IT Compliance trainings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience 7+ years of experience in computer technology with an emphasis on leading scaled, enterprise level infrastructures and services.
3-5+ years leadership/directorship experience required.
5+ plus years implementing and supporting complex infrastructure environments preferred.
Excellent understanding of computer systems, service desk, security, network and systems administration, databases, and telecommunications systems.
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred.
Office365 and Microsoft Azure experience preferred.
Qualifications Strong interpersonal skills and experience developing and communicating technology security related policies and procedures.
