The Director of Operational Accounting will be a strategic business partner to the Chief Operating Officer and collaborate to drive operational efficiencies and cost savings.
This is a hands-on position working directly with members of the finance and operations teams and will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer.
As the Director of Operational Accounting, you are responsible for the day-to-day financial performance of the plant, providing accurate and timely financial analysis to support decision-making.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
MBA or CPA preferred.
15+ years of relevant management accounting experience, preferably working in a large, multi-plant manufacturing environment.
What you'll do in the role:
Serve as a strategic business partner to the COO and plant management; responsible for creating financial reports and key performance indicators to drive operational efficiencies and cost savings.
Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
Manage and report on the plant's financial performance, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing accurate and timely financial analysis to support decision-making.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide insights on plant performance, identifying areas of improvement and cost savings opportunities.
Develop and maintain accurate financial records, general ledger and cost accounting systems and records.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial planning and analysis initiatives, supporting business strategies and operational goals.
Lead the annual budgeting process for the plant, working closely with operations teams to establish targets and monitor performance against budget.
Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and training as necessary.
Drive automation by leading systems projects and workshops impacting the plant operations and accounting.
Participate in regular meetings with executive management, providing financial insights and updates on plant performance.

Your environment:
This position will be in an open office environment in our Denver or Kansas City office.
Expected travel up to 25% to other Monolith locations.
Salary Range
$167,600-$217,950, plus 15% bonus
