This is a full-time benefits-eligible position.

Working hours: Tuesday- Saturday 2:30 pm-11:00 pm Bargaining Unit No Work Location Warrensburg Campus Posting Date 02/02/2021 Closing Date Open Until Filled Yes Position Purpose Supervise custodial operations to ensure timely and sufficient custodial coverage to include: Plan, schedule and coordinate tasks, assign daily, weekly, and monthly projects.
Maintain knowledge and familiarity of university facilities, university policies and procedures, FPO policies and procedures, chemicals and equipment.
Oversee projects in progress and hear and resolve customer questions and complaints.
Supervise custodial staff to include: interview, recommend new hires to Assistant manager, train employees, schedule staff, inspect work to maintain quality, conduct performance appraisals, hear and resolve employee questions and concerns, administer discipline according to University and FPO policies and procedures, and maintain confidential files on each employee.
Coordinate safety training and enforce safety rules and regulations.
Assign daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to employees.
Assist Assistant Manager to include: prepare reports and compile statistics, monitor and recommend expenditures for the budget.
Recommend improvements to policies, procedures, scheduling practices, etc.
to ensure optimal utilization of resources.
Assist in the communications with all departments to ensure customer service is foremost and their needs are met.
Assist in the design, planning and execution of projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent Other Education & Formal Training Computer Skills Word-Processing Experience 1.
Four years custodial experience in an industrial, commercial or educational setting.
2.
Two years supervisory experience.
3.
Experience in a University, hotel or conference center setting preferred.
4.
Event coordination, planning and scheduling experience preferred.
Other Experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Criminal History check, Driver's license Other Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Knowledge of a University environment preferred, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Leadership skills: organization/meeting facilitation/project leadership, Physical abilities: mobility/strength/dexterity/balance/coordination/endurance, Supervisory skills, including motivation, delegation of duties, evaluation, etc, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality Other Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge Must be customer service oriented.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to operate and train employees to operate all equipment of the trade.
Ability to read and understand the Technical Manual.
Ability to order supplies and maintain inventory.
Ability to work in and with the Public to include multi cultural and economic backgrounds.
Ability to obtain needed resources to fulfill setups.
Ability to read and understand MACS contracts or Operations report and be able to perform set up functions when required Knowledge and ability to perform all procedures to maintain hard surface floors.
Knowledge and ability to perform all procedures to maintain carpets, upholstery and walls.
Knowledge and ability to address issues concerning Bloodborne Pathogens, Proper Personal Protective Equipment, Hazmat HazCom, Lock out Tag out and Confined spaces.
Knowledge and ability to check out/in keys from FPO key locker.
Specify sensory abilities: Physical & Environmental Factors: Excessive standing and/or walking, Exposure to extreme temperatures, Exposure to fumes and/or chemicals, Exposure to heights, Exposure to loud noises, Lifting (weight) - 50 lbs Other Physical & Environmental Factors -Exposure to dust/chalk dust.
-May be required to wear respirator while mixing and handling chemicals.

Lifting weight Special Working Conditions: On call/standby work required, Irregular work hours, Work in stressful conditions, Professional appearance Other Special Working Conditions Business casual dress.
Must wear appropriate protective equipment.
May be required to be fit tested for respirators, which requires a physical exam.
Must be event focused, customer oriented and flexible to last minute changes to scheduled and unscheduled events.
Ability to Keyboard No keyboarding test required.
Special Qualifications: Other Special Qualifications Safety Tool Kit within one year.
Carpet Care, Hard Floor Surface Care, Gym Floor Refinishing, Wall Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, Noah, Equipment Care training certifications as required by position are required within one year of hire.
