UPGRADES Lambertone Grinder pickups Gotoh premium locking tuners Upgraded wiring and ultra-smooth CTS pots for no treble rolloff on volume knob manipulation and no muddiness on tone knob manipulation Switchcraft jack and toggle PRS style knobs Roller bridge Silly switch label, lol COSMETIC ISSUES Scuffs and minor surface scratches here and there from use Finish crack at input jack Fret divots on first five frets but action is incredibly low with little or no fret buzz Case has cosmetic wear and old sticker remnants and latch that keeps it standing open needs new racks to reattach but case clasps all work fine.
No odors in case or on guitar! See video for extensive demo of these fantastic pickups through Strymon Iridium Vox AC30 model.
This machine has been upgraded to a professional level with all PREMIUM pickups, hardware, wiring, pots and switches.
The operative adjective here is "butter.
" The action, setup and intonation are spot on and perfect.
Low, buzz-free action.
Butter.
The creamy butter metaphor continues to the pickups.
Lambertone hand-wound boutique pickups $300/set) are unlike anything I've ever heard.
Smooth, velvety, airy, crisp, stunningly articulate.
Check out the video to see how even with Vox-ey overdrive kranked these pickups are so dynamic you can get nearly clean simply by lightening your pick attack, and most definitely by lowering the volume knob.
Literally a whisper to a roar at your fingertips.
Unreal clarity available because of the upgraded wiring and pots.
CHECK OUT THE VIDEO! Locking Gotoh tuners are rock solid.
Roller bridge is amazing and looks cool to boot.
Nice dark ROSEWOOD board with gorgeous inlays.
Why am I selling if I'm so breathless about it? I've got a fever for Jazzmasters these days and just don't play it much any more.
I will miss it, and in fact recording that video was painful because this thing sings and screams equally well, and plays so smooth and easy it's almost effortless.
Seriously.
Butter.
