Description
The Liberty Community Center is adding a Fitness Center Attendant to our team! In this role, you will direct, organize and supervise all aspects of the fitness center.
You will also be responsible for assisting members and community members with proper use of machinery and equipment and assist with general housekeeping throughout the facility.

Essential Functions
Monitor the use of equipment in the Wellness Center.
Ensure general safety of patrons, enforce all codes of conduct, rules and policies including but not limited to, age restrictions, language, and proper use of the facility.
Assist in building cleanliness.
Promote programs within the fitness center on a regular basis through handouts/flyers/word of mouth, giving special attention to the Fitness Testing and our Personal Trainers.
Proactively engage and interact with citizens to ensure their customer experience leaves a positive impact.
Ensure a positive attitude at all times & complete delivery of service to our members.
Performs other duties as needed to ensure quality municipal services for our citizens.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Respond to requests and inquiries from customers/citizens in a professional, positive, friendly and helpful manner.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other City employees.
Work independently in the absence of supervision.
Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of essential duties including operating and maintaining assigned equipment.
Maintain mental capacity which permits satisfactory performance of essential functions including decision-making, communication, teamwork and positive customer/citizen interactions and experiences.
Knowledge and background in safety & development to properly instruct all pass holders on all machines & free weights.
License or Certificate
Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR Certification.
Individuals with additional certifications, such as group exercise, fitness or personal training certification, will be paid $14.
50/hour.
Any non-certified applicants will receive $12.
50/hour.
