AUTOMOTIVE SALES MANAGER

McCarthy Auto Group is adding a Sales Manager to their team in Lee's Summit! You will be responsible for supervising/motivating salespeople and encouraging strategies to sell new & pre-owned vehicles.
Organizing schedules, training, interviewing, hiring, setting and meeting sales goals.

JOB DUTIES:
Meets with executive manager to establish annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit.
Manage New Inventory for the lot.
Make a high volume of outbound communication with customers for the purpose of follow up.

Work Daily with Salespeople to discuss any deals they are working as well as talk about where they stand with closing percentages both internet and physical lot traffic.
Ensures that sales personnel understand dealership policies, procedures, and sales systems.
Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
Hires, trains, supervises, and monitors the performance of the department sales employees.
Oversees new Car department inventory and pricing.
Meets with the general manager to review monthly forecasts, commission sheets, productivity reports, and the profit performance of new & used car department as a whole and each salesperson individually.
Studies local market conditions, demographics, and past sales history.
Makes recommendations to the general manager regarding short- and long-range advertising plans, sales promotions, hiring needs, lease promotions, and compensation plans.
Addresses customer complaints to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
Creates systems that ensure ongoing sales training, including weekly or daily sales meetings.
Initiates and follows through on corrective action and counseling of sales personnel to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherence to timekeeping standards including recording time of arrival, departure and all breaks for self and subordinates.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have at least 5 years of successful experience in automotive sales or equivalent sales industry.
Must have at least 5 years of successful management experience in automotive sales.
Must have working knowledge and of vAuto software and believe in the velocity principals of managing used inventory.
Previous experience in communicating with dealership principles, owners, and managers.
A proven track record in the automotive market reflecting high CSI.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, and the ability to understand profit and loss statements.
Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software and internet proficiency.
Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills.
Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
High School diploma or equivalent
