Purpose
The primary purpose of the High School Relations Manager is to generate inquiries and applicants for Park University.
The High School Relations Manager works with high schools within their assigned territory in order to grow brand awareness and student interest in Park University to yield a desired number of inquiries and applicants annually.
This role will identify high school students in their junior or senior year who want to further their education at Park University as well as nurture relationships with K-12 institution faculty and staff that influence student decision making through delivery of dynamic in-classroom presentations and home campus group visits.
Accountabilities Deliver enthusiastic Park University approved presentations to groups and classrooms in high schools within an assigned territory.
This position will have goals in relation to the number of presentations and events for the recruitment period.
Collect inquiries from all outreach efforts and input on a daily basis.
This position will have goals in relation to the number of inquiries for the recruitment period.
Build a strategy and schedule that will create and foster relationships with administrators and educators with their assigned territory.
This includes fostering, developing and nurturing new and existing contact within the assigned territory through research, in-person visits, appointments, phone calls and emails in an effort to schedule presentations.
Communicate with prospective students through phone calls, school visits, emails and other materials in order to assist them with the application process on a daily basis.
There will be specific seasonal commitments for outbound contact work.
Promotes and represents the university at high school college fairs as well as any other high school sponsored events as approved by the Director of Admissions.
Partner with the Admissions Counselors in order to assist with students after application.
Communication will be extremely important when transitioning students from recruiter to counselor.
Coordinate meetings and events for high school counselors, educators, and administrators in order to educate them about Park University, our classroom workshops, and partnership opportunities.
Scope High School Relations Managers are assigned to a specific geographic market and service the counties and schools that fall within them.
The Relations Managers will leverage territory data provided by the Office of Admissions to develop schedules and strategies that will yield growth and quality of student interest and commitment.
The goal of the High School Relations Manager is to ensure Park University achieves new student enrollment goals by providing a consistent/growing stream of student inquiries and applicants from the assigned territory.
Relations Managers will maintain a working knowledge of all undergraduate majors and minors offered at the day campus and online as well as university outcomes and services that differentiate Park University from competing institutions.
Organization High School Relations Managers receive day-to-day direction from the Asst Director, Admissions.
Relations Managers will be expected to remain current on trends and best practices regarding student recruitment, support recruitment strategies of the University, and work closely with members of the Office of Admissions to deliver prompt and effective service to prospective students.
Position Requirements Bachelor’s Degree required The ability to be self-motivated while performing a number of different tasks.
Must be able to do research and detailed work.
Preference given to candidates with advising, marketing, or sales experience.
Highly flexible, creative, and able to adapt to new project demands.
Strong problem solving skills and strong attention to detail.
Preference given to candidates with working knowledge and experience with a wide range of computer technology such as Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), databases, telephony and constituent relationship management (CRM) systems.
Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Able to work on a non-traditional schedule, specifically evenings and weekends.
Access to reliable transportation and the ability to meet the requirements to be an approved Park University vehicle operator.
Will use personal vehicle to travel within assigned territory.
Reside in the assigned territory or be willing to travel daily within assigned territory.
Able to work daily at the Parkville Flagship Campus when not inside of a school.
Physical Requirements High School Relations Managers must be able and willing to stand for extended periods of time, specifically to conduct presentations, facilitate campus tours for group visits, and engage with the public during college fairs.
Must be able to lift and carry recruitment event material including but not limited to, banner stands, roller bags, laptops, boxes of print material.
Must be able to operate a motorized vehicle for an extended length of time.
