Merchandiser Location: Memphis, TN Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc.
(AWG) is the nation’s largest cooperative food wholesaler to independently owned supermarkets, serving over 1,100 member companies and over 3,400 locations throughout 31 states from 9 wholesale Divisions.
The consolidated run-rate sales for AWG are twelve billion.

Position Summary Selling Members on New VMC Skus, filling voids with proper shelf placement of all items in VMC's portfolio.
Presenting and Selling all VMC Programs and all promotional events.
Participate in planning and resetting Member stores as directed.
Position Responsibilities Supervision and physical duties of all activities related to VMC products at store level.
Help coordinate and implement store resets from start to finish including planograms, floor plans, and shelf allocation.
Assist in training and development of GM/HBC/NOS in-store personnel.
Recommend products, product lines and promotional activities and analyze slow-sellers.
Position Requirements High School diploma or equivalent.
5 Years Merchandising Experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills with dedication to detail.
Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Ability to operate within a team concept.
Basic computer skills.
Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation.
Perform bending, squatting, reaching from floor to 6 ft.
Walking, standing and able to lift 50 lbs.
Able to operate circular saw and cordless drill.
Ability to sell.
**A background in GM/HBC/NOS is a plus.
