Job Overview:
We are looking to hire a talented and professional glazier to measure, cut, and install glass fittings in commercial businesses.
A glazier’s responsibilities include working with blueprints to cut glass to specifications, assembling and fitting glass in shop windows, sliding doors, display cases and commercial structures.
To be successful as a glazier, you should have detailed knowledge of the glass manufacturing and cutting process, have good eye-hand coordination, be able to lift heavy objects, and have excellent communication skills.
Ultimately, a top-notch glazier provides a positive customer experience while constantly meeting high professional standards.
Responsibilities:
* Install, repair, and maintain various types of glass, windows, and doors.
* Oversee multiple projects at a time.
* Oversee multiple glazing crews at a time.
* Layout and field measure jobs
* Provide accurate glass dimensions to project managers and in-office personnel for ordering of glass and other materials.
* Manage project timeline.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot glazing-related issues.
* Work with a variety of tools and equipment to ensure precise installations.
* Oversee jobsite safety.
* Work with general contractors and building owners on proper sequencing and scheduling of jobs.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
* Provide exceptional customer service and address client concerns professionally.
* Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Glazing Foreman
* In-depth knowledge of glass and glazing materials, techniques, installation methods and tools.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Valid Driver’s license
* Previous glass & glazing experience
* Glazier certification is a plus.
* OSHA certification or willingness to obtain it.
* Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials.
* Flexibility to work on a varied schedule if required.
* Preferred 5+ years’ experience

Pay: $25.
00 - $30.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
