Project Startup Tech

Manufacturing Company looking for a Start-Up Tech Specialist to assemble machines and control equipment of various types, in numerous locations.
In this role, you provide technical support and perform assembly, startup, and commissioning duties to help our customers begin their operations of our equipment, with a high standard of quality.
In addition to assembling and commissioning equipment, you will troubleshoot machine issues during test run production and correct malfunctions while confirming equipment run rates are within the project scope.
Additionally, you will collaborate closely with Project Management in researching/purchasing parts as well as creating and developing Installation scopes for subcontractors.
This role requires some technical training.
Applicants must have 2-3 years of experience working with onsite equipment and start up duties.
Project Start up Tech Specialist Duties and Responsibilities · Travel as necessary for new project front end site visits, taking measurements, 3D scans etc.
· Travel to customer job sites to complete start-up tasks and commissioning of customer tasks and equipment checks.
· Assist contracted install team with the assembly of various mixing and conveying machines.
· Complete test operations of customers’ equipment.
· Troubleshoot any machine/system/performance issues, correcting any malfunction.
· Observe final operations and confirm committed run rates.
· Complete startup checklists and customer sign off authorizations.
· Assist Project Management with parts quotation and purchasing, including locating hard to find parts and finding new vendors.
· Create installation scope documentation for Project Management and provide the needed documentation to assist the actual install contractor.
· Trouble shoot with design team on any issues that arise during installation.
· Assist Project Manager and Shop with shipping schedules.
Set Up Technician Requirements and Qualifications · Associates/Technical Degree required or a combination of Education and Experience · 2+ years of Equipment Start Ups in a related manufacturing environment preferred.
· Experience with Ingredient processing and conveying equipment a huge plus.
· Positive and professional demeanor · Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to perform tasks from reading and understanding Engineered Drawings and Schematic Diagrams.
· Good verbal and written communication skills · Proficient Math and Analytical skills when dealing with abstract and concrete variables.
· Proficient knowledge of Electronics or 2-3 years field startup experience.
· Must be able to travel extensively.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.
