The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is a creative problem-solver.
The successful candidate will utilize a variety of tools to facilitate Process Characterization activities in almost every facet of production at the Kansas City National Security Campus.
The successful candidate has the opportunity to use their skill set to develop strategy and positively affect and influence the future of the KCNSC by championing Six Sigma and problem solving.
Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitate the Process Characterization effort for the Quality Assurance Engineering department
Lead cross-functional teams to solve organizational and manufacturing problems
Work personally assigned projects and interface with plant leadership
Help develop and execute department, business unit and plant-wide strategy plans
Liaison with peers and Senior Leadership across the plant and the National Security Enterprise to develop relationships and Process Characterization strategy
You Must Have:
US citizenship in order to obtain and maintain U.
S.
Dept.
of Energy ""Q"" level security clearance
Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited program, or a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited program
6 years of experience in engineering of products, processes, or technical activities
We Value:
Demonstrated experience in project leadership, and problem solving
Experience working in a manufacturing facility.
Knowledge of Six Sigma or statistical tools
