Perform independent reviews and assessments of area performance, including lessons learned, industry best practices, and technology.
Identifies and addresses areas for improvement within the quality department.
This is an onsite role based at our Lenexa, KS site.

Primary Responsibilities: Supervise a team of quality and first article Inspectors as well as certification tech staff.
Collaborate cross-functional to proactively establish and maintain regulatory, customer and company requirements.
Ensure direct report adherence to plant policies and procedures.
Time keeping responsibilities for direct reports.
Maintain training records for direct reports and area training matrix.
Supports continuous improvement within the quality department.
Prioritization of inspections.
Participation in daily MRB meeting and quality clinic.
Ensure acceptable velocity through the receipt routing (receipt of goods) process.
Continual audit preparedness of area of supervision and direct reports.
Review, create, update control documents related to area of supervision.
Collaborate cross-functional to proactively establish and maintain regulatory, customer and company requirements.
Assist with nonconformance, corrective actions and customer complaints.
Returns process facilitation & management at the Regional Distribution Center.
Customer Escape investigations and Corrective Actions, Metrics & KPI reporting, and Local QMS support.
Qualifications/Experience Needed: Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
Must be authorized to work in the U.
S.
without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Knowledge of First Article Inspection requirements preferred.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
