Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at River Bend Recycle & Transfer.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, including excavators and wheel loaders, to facilitate the efficient loading of trailers with trash and debris.
Additionally, the Heavy Equipment Operator will assist with the movement of trailers from the tipping floor tunnel, communicate effectively with fellow employees, and work collaboratively as part of a team to complete daily tasks.
\*\*Responsibilities:\*\*
- Operate excavator to load trailers with trash and debris efficiently and safely.
- Utilize wheel loader as needed to push trash on the tipping floor and maintain smooth operations.
- Move trailers in and out of the tipping floor tunnel to facilitate transportation to the landfill.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow.
- Work as part of a team to complete daily duties and achieve operational objectives.
- Perform daily maintenance tasks, including fueling, greasing, and topping off fluids on machinery.
- Assist in maintaining grounds by picking up debris from the property and providing support where needed.

- Proven experience operating heavy equipment, specifically excavators and wheel loaders.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for operating heavy machinery.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and adapt to changing environmental elements.
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to work overtime on Fridays and maintain a consistent schedule.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.
00 - $25.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 per week
