*Job Title: Rail Signal Engineer*
*Location: Grain Valley, MO ( Kansas City, MO)*
*Duration: 6-12 months*
*Job Description*
* Provide technical instruction and assistance regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance of rail signaling equipment installed at customer sites.
* Perform on-site installation and maintenance of railway signaling equipment and systems including equipment initialization, calibration, setup, verification, and repair.
* Troubleshoot railroad signaling systems using a broad base understanding of railroad signaling products and engineering principles.
* Respond to requests for emergency troubleshooting and issue resolution needs for railroad customers.
*Qualifications :*
* Bachelor's or Associate's degree - ideally in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electronics or similar discipline - BUT will consider candidates w/o a degree with a relevant experience
* Ideally experience with railway signaling (railroad) as field service engineer, signal maintainer, signalman, signal engineer, signal designer, signal design engineer, etc
* Ideally experience with such railroad signaling products / systems as ElectroLogIXS, MicroLok, GCP, AFTAC, etc
Job Type: Contract
Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
* Day shift
* Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
* Grain Valley, MO 64029: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
Experience:
* MicroStation: 1 year (Preferred)
* Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
* Fundamentals of Engineering (Preferred)
