The 2nd Shift Warehouse Lead will play a crucial role in overseeing a small team of shipping personnel for eight months of the year, transitioning to independent work during the remaining four months due to seasonality.
This dynamic position involves coordinating various warehouse activities during the second shift, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of performance.
The position requires a resolute individual who is punctual and dependable while demonstrating leadership, integrity, and honesty with a capacity to manage situations tactfully in a team-oriented, fast paced environment.
*Duties:* · Ensures all shipments are correctly processed in a timely manner.
· Pick, package, and ship products and ensure that daily demand is covered.
· Pulls jobs for the following day.
· Provides inventory support to second shift manufacturing.
· Puts away receiving overflow.
· Interact with other shift leads and provides communication to incoming shifts.
· Cycles finished goods inventory to promote FIFO.
· Conducts cycle counts and location spot checks.
· Moves inventory into / out of pallet racking with P.

· Uses barcode technology within ERP software.
· Identify and correct inventory discrepancies, researching, and coming to solutions.
· Utilizes FIFO when selecting products.
· Ability to lift 50lbs and potentially up to 75lbs within a team setting, stand/walk, push, and pull for extended periods of time.
· Makes recommendations to management for improvements to promote Lean Manufacturing environment.
· Keeps management informed of safety, quality, production, inventory issues, and shipping activities.
· Needs to be initiative-taking and helpful in all areas, willing to learn new methods, be cross-trained, and moved to other areas as needed.
· Follows all Company Policies and Procedures within work practice guidelines of OSHA standards.
· Works positively as a team member and contributes with the team to maximize productivity and efficiency.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
*Qualifications:* · Minimum 3 years demonstrated inventory, shipping, picking, and/or general warehousing experience.
· Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
· High School Diploma or GED (required).
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certifications (preferred).
· Certified in P.
I.
T.
(Forklifts/Trucks/Walkie-Ryders/Reach-Trucks) operations and minimum 1 year experience (Non-negotiable).
· Experience in working with pallet racking (i.
e.
, placing or removing palletized freight from high-level racking) is preferable but not necessary.
· Versatile with Microsoft 365 products (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook).
· Excellent attendance history.
· Creating a positive and collaborative work environment.
· Excellent people skills and attitude/behavior demonstrated toward continuous improvement.
· Extremely organized and systematic.
· Meticulous person that enjoys working in an evolving environment.
· Ability to take charge of time-sensitive tasks under pressure with multiple demands.
· Excellent problem-solving, logic and reasoning capabilities.
· Ability to interact professionally and communicate effectively.
· Able to prioritize importance of tasks and/or work center needs.
*Working Environment:* 100% of the time is spent in the Distribution or Production Centers.
This exposure subjects incumbent to temperature changes, dirt, dust, noise, vibration, moving objects and mechanical parts.
