Summary The Systems Integration Administrator is responsible for complex duties to plan, design, implement, and monitor administrative management systems, and related applications and integrations, ensuring that all systems are performing at an optimal level.
The administrator will implement processes that adhere to timelines and requirements, customer/user expectations, and quality standards, as well as overseeing the coordination of system-related responsibilities, including all project-oriented work efforts.
The Administrator will participate in related technology committees and projects, consult with functional users and departments, and collaborate with business intelligence efforts.
Roles and Responsibilities Provide oversight for the installation, administration, maintenance, monitoring, technical support, and problem resolution for various systems, including integrations.
Serve as a technical expert for troubleshooting issues.
Participate in the creation, revision, and execution of project plans, including identifying resource needs, performing quality review, and escalating functional, technical, and organizational issues where appropriate.
Deliver high-quality service to internal and external customers, understand the needs of the customer, respond promptly and be accessible.
Monitor and maintain the day-to-day operations of systems including Ellucian Recruit (CRM), document management, Microsoft Office 365, 25Live scheduling system, intranet and other hosted systems.
Coordinate efforts between information technology team, analysts, and programmers on maintenance.
Use of relational databases and in querying, creating, and maintaining working datasets from ERP (Ellucian Colleague) Collaborate to maintain and enforce system standards, policies, and procedures, change management standards, and change control policies, ensuring consistency and standardization.
Disaster recovery, including backups and recovery.
Special projects and continuous professional and technical development.
Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field preferred, or completion of recognized applicable IT credential.
At least 3 years of experience in information technology positions is required, preferably in a minimum of 1 in a higher education setting.
Strong technical knowledge in computing is required.
Specific knowledge of Ellucian products, Etrieve by Softdocs is preferred.
Competence with Unidata, SQL, PLSQL Expert oral and written communication skills for speaking and writing to translate technical procedures and priorities into lay language.
Ability to analyze, design, and implement information technology systems appropriate to the needs and resources available at William Jewell College.
Analytical skills required for trouble shooting problems.
Ability to relate to a wide variety of user needs and levels of understanding of technology.
Ability to provide prompt and effective delivery of essential services.
Ability to develop staff skills and abilities that provide a wide range of robust services.
Working Conditions Normal working/office hours and predictable attendance required.
Occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs.
) required to move hardware.
Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as required.
Ability to withstand the pressure of competing priorities and demands.
