_*Who We Are:*_ New York Air Brake-Kansas City Service Center is located in Riverside, MO.
We perform AAR approved repair upgrade and COT&S of all AAR freight valves and peripheral devices, 26L, 30-CDW and CCB type locomotive components and systems, single car test devices, brake cylinders, and tread brakes.

* Basic teardown and assembly locomotive brake valves or pistons * Follow written procedural guidelines during the assembly process.
* Proper use of power tools and hand tools.
* Proper use of calibrated gauges, power and manual torqueing devices.
* Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
* Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
* Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
* Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree Technical Capacity * Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with assistance.
* Knowledge of generally accepted best practices and theory.
* Good mechanical skills * Knowledge of shop use of measuring devices.
*Supervisory Responsibility* This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
*Work Environment*: The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.
e.
noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc.
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
