Production Manager

Summary Responsible for effective management of the shop facility including long-term strategic planning, selection/development of team members, and proactively forecasting future demands and resource requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities: Planning, directing, and coordinating the manufacturing process in compliance with company goals and objectives Manage day-to-day operations of the facility Establish and control conditions within production to satisfy customer and quality specifications Communicate directly with customers to develop strong relationships Accept full P&L responsibilities for your facility Maintain employee safety and morale by creating a safe and efficient working environment Maintain all required documentation for AAR/FRA compliance and process safety management Set clear and consistent expectations for performance Provide hands-on leadership in order to mentor and develop the team Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree preferred Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience 5-7 years of stable work history preferably with welding and/or railcar experience Ability to train, motivate empower, and lead the workforce Advanced Computer Skills Valid driving license required Attention to detail Excellent judgment, quick decision making
