What’s the Job? We are seeking a highly-skilled Manager to oversee our Quality Department for the CertainTeed Insulation plant in Kansas City, KS.
The ideal candidate will continually improve and enhance our programs and processes to ensure the highest quality products are produced for our customers.

The Quality Manager will monitor the production conformance with the standards and process procedures.
You will lead the plant's quality initiatives, as well taking ownership as being part of the World Class Manufacturing program.
You will identify the gaps in the key performance indicators related to the quality department.
Define and coordinate the improvement projects required to achieve improvements.
Support and assist with implementing methods to improve product quality, design, and manufacturing processes.
Advocate the voice of the customer to ensure customer expectations are met.
Accountable for compliance with plant and product certifications under ISO 9001, 14001, NAHB, UL, and Green Guard.
Management Track and define monthly Key Performance Indicators, publish Pareto and statistical analysis to identify gaps, and define improvement actions.
Coordinate training on quality testing and procedures for hourly employees working in the production department.
Interact with customers and vendors (audits, projects, complaint resolution, site visits, plant visits, etc.
) Review and develop improvement programs and cost reductions in the quality department.
Coordinate certification activities for ISO, NAHB, UL, Green guard.
Production Support Coordinate quality activities at the facility to include new product development and trials.
Assist with Hot End Managers and Process Engineers maintaining a data-reporting program to validate that each plant's Key Processes are under control and meeting target while identifying opportunities for improvement.
Ensure raw materials and finished goods meet specifications as designed by CertainTeed quality standards for materials, products, and plant procedures and policies.
Requirements What do you bring? Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a quality or process control function.
Knowledge of quality, product and process standards, and statistical process control.
Knowledge of continuous improvement programs and tools: SPC, DOE, statistical analysis, structural analysis, etc.
Strong PC Skills needed, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
Able to lead cross-functional teams under high-pressure environments.
Proven ability to design, manage, and implement improvement projects.
