Position Overview
Provide operations support in wick processing.
(Position Hours: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm) Hourly pay rate: $15.
50 Plus $1.
00 Shift Differential for working this shift.
Essential Job Functions
include, but not limited to:
Comply with all workplace standards and safety procedures, including Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements (OSHA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Company Guidelines.
Follow equipment operating parameters to maximize production, while meeting all product specifications.
Ensure all wicks in products meet all Safety, Performance and Quality standards while working in a safe, fast paced environment.
Equipment that may be used during wick processing activities include, but are not limited to:
Scissors – used to trim wicks
Wick Holders – used to center and straighten wicks
Wick processing activities include, but are not limited to:
Standing for up to 12 hours per shift
Bending and reaching
Tasks that require good finger dexterity like manually swirling wicks, placing wick holders on candles, using scissors, etc.
Placing metal wick holders on poured candles to keep wicks centered and straight
Verification of proper wick placement and height
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
This will be verified via practical testing administered by a member of management or QC.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Successfully passed all practical testing associated with Production Team Member Level 1 requirements.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Manufacturing experience in a high paced facility preferred.
Basic computer skills required.
Demonstrated ability to work safely in a production environment required.
Demonstrated ability to read/interpret/follow instructions in regard to workplace documentation, such as:
SOP’s, Operator Checklists, Work Instructions, etc.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Low sensitivity to highly fragranced work environment.
Good color acuity.
Good dexterous ability with hands and fingers.
Must be willing to work overtime as required, based on production demands.
