HVAC/Air Compressor Specialist
Job Overview: The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Specialist is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in our commercial and industrial settings.
You will ensure that HVAC systems operate efficiently, effectively, and safely to maintain optimal indoor air quality and temperature control.
Unique to this opportunity is that this position will interface with our HVAC and air compressor outside vendors.
This position will act as the primary contact for internal service, repairs, and maintenance when replacement or higher-level repairs/diagnosis is needed you will coordinate with these outside vendors.
Job Responsibilities:
Installation: Install and maintain a cloud-based thermostat network for all 25 buildings.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter changes, cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or defective parts to ensure HVAC systems operate at peak performance.
Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC systems, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components, refrigerant leaks, and airflow issues.
Inspection: Conduct inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential problems, recommend repairs or replacements, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Air Compressor: Routine maintenance on diagnostic of both reciprocating on screw type air compressors.
Testing: Use specialized tools and equipment to test HVAC systems for leaks, pressure, airflow, and performance, and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, equipment inventory, and customer communication, using computerized systems or manual logs.
Customer Service: Communicate effectively with manager to explain HVAC issues, recommend solutions, and provide estimates for repairs or installations.
Address internal concerns promptly and professionally.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage during HVAC installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external technicians, contractors, and project managers to coordinate work schedules, share resources, and ensure timely completion of projects.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical HVAC program preferred.
Certification or licensure as an HVAC technician in accordance with state or local regulations.
This shall include the ability to order HVAC parts.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with HVAC tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required.
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Work Environment: HVAC specialists typically work indoors and outdoors, depending on the nature of the job.
You will work in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, or construction sites.
The work environment may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, loud noises, and hazardous materials, requiring adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment.

Pay Range $50k - $70k based on experience.
