POSITION OVERVIEW
Kiewit Power Engineering (KPE) has an immediate opening for a Warranty Manager in our Warranty Services Group based in Lenexa, KS.
Selected candidates will be part of our growing warranty team that is responsible for management and coordination of warranty work for all Kiewit fossil and renewable projects.
Warranty Managers at Kiewit are an integral part of our overall project teams with direct access to Engineering and Construction leaders across the organization.
Warranty Manager will be assigned projects to manage remotely and have regular site visits to meet with the client and review work with subcontractors.
At Kiewit, Warranty Managers are responsible for coordinating with suppliers to resolve issues, coordinating subcontractors performing warranty work and coordinating with engineering to resolve issues.
For unit outages, the Warranty Manager is expected to be on site to manage any subcontractors performing warranty work.
The Warranty Manager assists with warranty budget and forecasting.
The Warranty Manager is expected to be the single point of contact for the client during the warranty period driving issues to completion while meeting safety requirements, schedule, and project objectives, consistent with Kiewit's standard operating procedures.

LOCATION This position is based out of Lenexa, KS with opportunity for flexible work.
RESPONSIBILITIES Overall management of the warranty process for multiple projects Has a detailed understanding of all contractual obligations for the project to ensure contract requirements are met Facilitates effective communication between the client, engineering, construction and subcontractors Maintain and communicate warranty status with Client Ensures proper coordination of suppliers, engineering and subcontractors Supports accounting activities including forecasting costs, approving invoices and task orders for work performed Resolves conflicts that arise through partnering with engineering, clients, and construction/subcontractors Plans and communicates needs for Kiewit Engineering resources to the Warranty Lead Engineer Consolidates lessons learned or corrective actions that can be passed on to future projects QUALIFICATIONS Construction background, Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related engineering degree A minimum of 7 years’ experience in project management Strong organizational and time management skills Strong written and verbal communications skills Attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies Strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Other Requirements: Regular, reliable attendance Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
Perform work safely and effectively.
Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
Work overtime and weekends as required.
